Now in its 4th year, at Healthy Buildings 2020 the conference will be joined by a number of expert speakers. It addresses the climate emergency and deals with the question of how to accelerate the delivery of net zero carbon buildings that are healthy for occupants as well as our planet.
This year's theme - 'Healthy Buildings in a Climate Emergency’
We are in the midst of a global climate emergency. In the UK it is recognised by Parliament and over 150 local authorities. Across the construction industry, over 700 organisations and counting have made declarations, including major architecture and engineering practices, universities and NGOs. But what are the next steps?
It’s clear that cross-sector collaboration is needed to develop a detailed and ambitious plan to address the climate emergency and help meet net zero targets for operational and embodied energy in buildings.
But what will this mean for our daily lives and how will this affect the way in which we design, construct, maintain and operate our buildings? How do we change our behaviour as an industry, and will the climate emergency provide a once-in-a-generation opportunity for architects, designers and product manufacturers to raise their game en masse and change the way we live and work forever?
Join the conference, meet inspiring speakers and take part in the prize giving ceremony for the ASBP Awards 2020 and the natureplus Product Innovation Award. For the last conference tickets available book here.
