Together with building materials manufacturers (industry), specialist merchants, planners, architects and tradesmen, environmental and consumer protection institutes and organisations as well as testing/assessment institutes, natureplus emphasises the role of sustainable building materials. The aim is to establish this firmly in the minds of all the market participants in order to make sustainability become recognized as an important issue in the building industry.
In turn, these network partners support natureplus in achieving its aims and thereby profit themselves from the positive image of the Association.
The regular exchange with the scientific community (e.g. UBA, AgBB, DFG, FhG) guarantees that natureplus is fully informed of any new scientific or technological developments, which enables an alignment with state-of-the-art practices.
The goal of the natureplus contact points / country associations is to educate and inform professional circles and the wider general public on the necessity of the use of sustainable building materials within the construction culture of each of the individual countries, as well as promoting the implementation of the natureplus label in the product selection criteria of state and private construction investors in Europe.
Together with the natureplu institute SCE, the following partner institutes are responsible for the organisation and execution of the product assessments for the natureplus eco-label, which are conducted in accordance with the requirements of the natureplus award guidelines.
The assessments to verify the requirements are conducted by accredited laboratories and assessors in line with recognized international standards.
The natureplus eco-label is already recognized by numerous certification systems – such as DGNB, LBBW, BNB – and is acknowledged as proof of the sustainable characteristics for building products as required by these systems. In the course of our collaboration with these well-known building certification systems, further collaborative relationships are developed.
Since 2014, natureplus has been providing technical and environmental product information for building specialists and consumers through the natureplus database. From 2018, the natureplus institute SCE will provide this service.
natureplus certified products have also been incorporated in other databases and all of them can be viewed there.
The regular exchange with the scientific community guarantees that natureplus is fully informed of any new scientific or technological developments, which enables an alignment with state-of-the-art practices. The collaborative partners are all nationally or internationally recognized organisations and institutions in the area of environmental and consumer protection.
